Screen Rant

We are all used to the struggle of wanting that perfect GPA while maintaining a social life and having time to relax as much as we want to. That never seems to be the case in college, yet we repeat the mantra every semester. "No procrastination this semester, I will keep an eye on my expenses and I will get the highest grades in all of my classes." In case you haven't yet had the experience of a typical college semester, here are a few songs that when put all together depict the ups and downs of those four months.

1. "Confident" by Demi Lovato.

Oh, the first day back. How sure we are that this semester will be the semester! You will make every class, every assignment will be done a week in advance, and your money will only be spent when necessary. Don't pretend you don't say it every year.

2. "$ave Dat Money" by Lil Dicky ft. Fetty Wap

You've learned your lesson by now so you're gonna control your spending this semester so you don't risk being in more debt than you already are.

3. "I Love College" by Asher Roth

We can't deny that the first weekend back at school is probably one of the best! With parties like those how could this semester not be a good one?!

4. "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars.

It only takes a syllabus week for us to retreat back into our Netflix and napping ways, because you can get that 1- page paper done the night before. Don't worry about it! Go out and have a few drinks, and spend that necessary money!

5. "Under Pressure" by Queen.

It starts to become all too real. Assignments pile up, group members don't hold their share and your bank account is beginning to represent your motivation, which is zero.

6. "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga

Although you already know you're not going to make it out of this semester alive you won't let anyone else see you struggle. Just smile and wave, smile and wave! Nothing lasts forever... right?

7. "Stressed Out" by Twenty One Pilots.

Well, now you've completely surpassed your threshold of acceptable procrastination and now finals are only weeks away! Now that you have no more money to bribe your teachers with, the only thing left to do is actually study. *gulp*

8. "Pray to God" by Calvin Harris ft. Haim

When all else fails at this point and we have to call for a higher power.

9. "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey.

The sad reality that the only thing between you and your summer is that dreaded final. It's so close, but only a biology lab report away!

10. "Bye bye bye" by 'Nsync

Finally, it's time to say goodbye! Goodbye to friends, to classes that you're hoping you didn't flunk, to cafeteria food that never quite tasted right and to uncomfortable beds...until next semester!

11. "Sorry" by Justin Bieber.

Lastly, it's time to say sorry to your parents when your grades come in. Hey, just remember next semester is the semester!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
