I'm Your Girl

I know what it's like to have shitty friends, or no friends at all, so I want to be that person for others that is there for them regardless.

Do you have that friend that you can go to for absolutely anything? You are super hungry and it's like 10pm so you text them, "Hey lets go get food." They respond, "I'm already on my way." or you're going through a breakup and just need to vent, they're always available to talk? If you don't, I'm Your Girl!

I've noticed over the last few years that friendships come and go - especially between girls. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and finding girls that will stick by you no matter what can be hard. Good news, you just came across one girl who will stick by you no matter what. I've had multiple friend groups throughout my lifetime, and I'm okay with that. It's definitely gotten to a point where if I like you, I like you. I don't have to hang out with anyone I don't want to. If we get along, great, let's be friends. If not, that's cool, you do you.

"So what does she mean by, 'I'm Your Girl'?" Well:

If you need someone to go with you to get food at 10 p.m., or 3 a.m., I'm Your Girl.

If you need someone to go swimming with you because you don't want to go to the beach alone, I'm Your Girl.

If you are too scared to go to the doctor by yourself, I'm Your Girl.

If you are feeling helpless, and useless, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to jam out to hard core rap, and then to lovey-dovey, and then to swing songs, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to talk about God, or the Devil, or anyone in between, I'm Your Girl.

If you need to binge watch Netflix, while scarfing down something sweet, I'm Your Girl.

If you need to pretend you have a girlfriend at family Holidays and don't want to look like the only lonely person there, I'm Your Girl. (But actually though, that might get weird. SO maybe I'm not your girl.)

If you need somewhere to stay because you feel unsafe in your own home, I'm Your Girl.

If you think you're not doing well enough in life, school, etc, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to try to bake, but then go get ice cream because we suck at baking, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to watch "Tangled" for 7 hours, I'M DEFINITELY YOUR GIRL!

But, if you also want to sit and watch crappy horror movies all day, I'm still definitely Your Girl.

If you want to sit, and vibe to chill music for awhile, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to go to a sports game (especially hockey) and eat some greasy stadium food, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to go shopping for lingerie but are too scared to ask for help, I'm Your Girl. I'll be straight up.

If you need a certain type of hair product and you have no clue what to get, I'm Your Girl.

If you need relationship advice, or advice in general, I'm Your Girl.

If you need help with getting this girl to go out with you, I'm Your Girl. (I love helping people love others.)

If you want to go mudding, or fourwheeling, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to go fishing or literally anything outdoors, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to start up your own business, and you don't know where to start, I'm Your Girl.

If you're super hungover, and need someone to give you food, and probably laugh at you, I'm Your Girl.

If you need help getting home from a party, or don't feel safe walking home alone, I'm Your Girl.

If you got in a car accident and need help, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to tag along on any photography jobs, I'm Your Girl.

If you want to have a 30-second-dance party in the middle of a grocery store because you need to celebrate a cute text, or a job opportunity, or just because, I'm Your Girl.

If you live 4 states away and am reading this and you're like "Hey, lets be friends." message me for my number. We'll talk. I'm Your Girl.

I really wanted to make an article like this, because I want people to know that someone cares. You don't have to be alone, because you don't deserve to be. I know what it's like to have shitty friends, or no friends at all, so I want to be that person for others that is there for them regardless. I'm not trying to blow smoke up my rear saying I'm super fun, and am better than the friends you have. I'm just saying that if you need someone, I'm Your Girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
