You will always find the most interesting dynamics in friend groups. It is very rare to have a whole group of friends that are exactly the same. Opposites attract and usually create lasting bonds where you often would never believe. Let’s see if you can spot your friends as people from Pawnee!

The Serious Friend: Ron Swanson

The friend you usually annoy with jokes and loud music in the car. This person loves everything done their way and will voice their opinion whenever they get the chance. They love you in a firm, aggressive way but you know there is never a time they won’t be there for you.

The Dumb Friend: Andy Dwyer

We all have that friend who we are genuinely worried about how they take care of themselves on a daily basis. We feel the need to protect them from this cruel and vicious world because their stupidity qualifies them as the little child of the friend group. You know whenever you are around this friend, you will leave with some hilarious stories, whether it be at their expense or not.

The Life of the Party Friend: Donna Meagle

This friend is fun and fabulous. They know how to have a good time wherever they are. This is the friend who hooks everyone up with the wild weekend details and can always get you into the best parties. Whenever you are around them you have your own Beyoncé moment just by feeding off their own self-confidence. #treatyoself

The Optimistic Friend: Chris Traeger

Everything is rainbows and smiley faces around this friend. You could be having the worst day but after a five-minute chat with them, you're automatically feeling better. They are literally the best people to be around. LITERALLY.

The Pessimistic Friend: April Ludgate

Every group with a optimist needs a pessimist to balance everything out, just like April and Andy’s relationship. This friend can rain on any parade but always has a secret heart of gold. Their pessimistic attitude is sometimes seemed to be humorous.

The Mom Friend: Ben Wyatt

We all know the friends who are level-headed and take care of everyone. They feel a certain responsibility to make sure nobody dies when your friend group decides to do something completely reckless. Although during the crazy times they may feel overbearing, they love you just as much as your real mother, or maybe a little more!

The Annoying Friend: Tom Haverford

As much as you love this friend, you often think about taping their mouth shut for at least five minutes. You can be sure that there are no awkward silences with this friend, as they never know when to stop talking. They are the first to text in the group chat and to post the picture of your friends on Instagram. They are connected to the social world and want everyone to know how much fun they are having.

The Hot Friend: Ann Perkins

The friend who always has a new boyfriend / girlfriend. They don’t stay in relationships for that long because they always find someone new. With this friend, you never want to get too attached to their current flavor of the week. Perks to having a hot friend is that they usually can get you free stuff; cons are that they are the hot friend — and you are just the friend of the hot friend.

The Drama Queen Friend: Craig Middlebrooks

Every minor inconvenience is a world shattering event to this friend. You love them and they love you, but don’t try to calm them down when they are in the middle of a breakdown.

The Friend That No One Really Likes: Jerry Gergich

The friend who never understands any of the the inside jokes, usually because most of the jokes are about them. They are the friend you always question why you address as a “friend” yet your friend group would be incomplete without them. You secretly love them, but would never express that to any of your other friends.

The Forever Friend: Leslie Knope

Your best friend. The friend that you can always count on. The friend you know will always be there for you. This friend goes above and beyond for the friend group making sure that they are all happy and safe. They may be very busy, but always make time for their friends.

So, are you the Jerry Gergich of your friend group?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
