Going away to college is a thrilling yet terrifying time in any high school graduate's life. Going away for your first semester will have you feeling a whirlwind of thoughts. Will you be able to make friends? What are you supposed to dress like? Will your roommate like you? What if you fail all your classes? Fear not -- The first family of America (the Kardashians, of course) are here to guide you through your first semester of college

1. It's finally time! No longer are you a high school baby -- you're officially a college student!

2. You're trying to play it cool, but deep down, you're terrified.

(Secretly crawls under covers to call Mom as soon as she leaves.)

3. You meet your new roommate, who you'll be blessing with your presence for the entire semester...

4. ...But quickly realize that sharing a room the size of a small jail cell might not be the easiest thing in the world.

Seriously? Do you have to blow dry your hair at 8:30 in the morning every single day?

5. You go to pick your classes, and are completely overwhelmed and confused by all the choices.

OK, biology and English literature seem familiar, but what the heck is intro to histology? Should you take Japanese? There's an entire class just on the story of Cinderella?

6. You try to be studious and on top of everything, but there're so many interesting clubs to join and fun to be had!

7. By the time exams roll around, you realize how much stuff you haven't learned this semester.

You know you're in trouble when you don't recognize half of the words on the final exam study guide.

8. You're feeling super in over your head, so you hit up your parents for some extra cash.

Nothing says "I believe in you" like a little pizza money at the end of the month.

9. But you've still got time! It's the point where you've got to get serious!

10. After locking yourself away from all the parties and cool stuff, you take your finals. Thank God that's finally over!

You can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Congratulations! You finally made it through the hardest part!

11. Thrilled that you've finally done it, you head home, where your parents are super proud of how mature you've become!

But of course, they believed in you all along... right?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
