The concept of a soulmate is usually reserved for a romantic partner. But really, I don't think that's the case today. A soulmate is someone who is an extension of yourself, the person you could never live without. But once you find that one person — the person you can trust with your life and all of your secrets — that’s when you truly know you have more than just a best friend; you have a soulmate.

Basically this person is your Number 1. He or she has become part of the family that sometimes you think they like her more than you. Nothing has kept you guys from keeping that bond. Not even being separated at school.

So how do you know if you’re fortunate enough to have one of these amazing people in your life?

Your relationship probably looks like this:

1. She’s not getting jealous of your success; she’s celebrating your accomplishments.

2. She tells you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.

3. She’s not jealous of your new boyfriend; she just misses you.

4. You are always reminding each other that you're both amazing.

5. When your best friend leaves, you get separation anxiety.

6. The outside world would probably judge you for half of the funny things you do.

7. You treat your fights like a dramatic breakup.. but usually makeup immediately.

8. Forcing your BFF to come along with you on your stupid excursions.

9. Being brutal honest about there fashion choice.. because you both obviously have to look good.

10. You most likely listen to the same music.

11. You both are perfectly content doing nothing and just watching Netflix together.

12. Sometimes you wear the same outfit without even planning it.

13. Sometimes you're practically dating.

14. You can endlessly complain to your BFF and you know she will deal with it.

15. You have talked about getting a reality T.V. show before ... because you know it would be hilarious.

16. Ordering pizza AND Chinese food without being judged.

17. You’ve seen her bare ass naked enough times that it doesn’t even phase you anymore.

18. You think the same thing it's scary. Sometimes it is like you share a brain??

19. Even when you hate her, you love her.

20. Bottom line, she will always be your person.
