You Will Never Be Replaced, Ever. Love, Millennials

We will always have characters and shows that can never be replaced.

I got the idea for this article while watching a panel discussion with the cast of "The Flash." One of the creators of the show made a comment about how children watching the show would always remember lead actor Grant Gustin as "their" Flash. No matter how many remakes and cameos there are, Gustin will be this iconic character to everyone who watched the series growing up.

With this being said, it made me think of all the things that I remember when I was growing up. It made me realize that even though they are remaking all these older programs, I will always remember the originals. It made me realize that there are events that millennials will see differently compared to all other generations. Here is a list of all the things I thought of.

1. Power Rangers

"Mighty Morphin" style only please. Plus, who wasn't rooting for Kimberly and Tommy to get together?

2. Jessica Biel

You mean the girl from "7th Heaven," right? I will never forget watching that show weekly with the family. She might be married to Justin Timberlake but she will always be Mary to me.

3. Atlanta Olympics

My dad bought me a gold medal from a souvenir stand. I am pretty sure he told me he won it though. I actually still have it!

4. "Pokémon"

The gameboy games, the cut-out cards on the back of lunchables, the action figures. Gotta catch 'em all!

5. Blockbuster

The original Netflix. RIP.

6. September 11, 2001

I'll never forget being told that all extracurricular activities would be cancelled that day. I was not told anything else, just sent home.

7. "The Powerpuff Girls"

Sugar, spice and everything nice made for the perfect trio on Nickelodeon! Step aside remakes, you do not stand a chance.

8. "Justice League"

We are all super excited for the Justice League movies that DC Comics will be rolling out soon! However, most of us know about the League from Cartoon Network's programming. Take me back!

9. "Boy Meet World"

I am going to say it. Disney's take on this ABC staple sucks! Clearly they wanted to bring it back in some capacity but you just cannot replace the original gang! At least not on the Disney Channel. Cory and Topanga forever.

10. Melissa Joan Hart

Talk about 90's TV royalty. As Clarrisa and Sabrina, Hart charmed her way into our heart. Here's to no spellbinding remakes of this sitcom!

11. "Batman: The Animated Series"

Did you know that Harley Quinn debuted during this series? She became so popular that she was put in the comics, and you will even see her in the upcoming film "Suicide Squad." Talk about a game-changing show.

12. Kathy Kinney

Kinney will always be remembered for her role in "The Drew Carey Show." A sitcom icon that will be mimicked countless times. The original crazy lady for us millennials!

13. Harry Potter

Before all the hype from the movies, theme parks and an two-part play based on the epilogue, there was just the books. We fell in love with the characters from being a part of their journey on paper. The rest will never even come close to what our imagines drummed up.

14. The Macarena

Let's be real. This was the original group dance song. It rocked. The "Cha-Cha Slide" and "Gangnam Style" will never come close to touching this gem.

15. Girl Bands, Boy Bands

Do not even lie that you didn't want it that way with some N*SYNC and Backstreet Boys. Or maybe you were spicing up your life with Destiny's Child or the Spice Girls. These were the ultimate bands growing up, and no one will ever replace them. Sorry for your loss, One Direction. Talk to the hand, Fifth Harmony.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
