If you have a sister then you know how big of a pain in the ass this relationship can be, but you also know how big of a blessing she is. In my case its a tad different.
We started out on completely different paths in life, and somehow they crossed. As cheer had always been a huge part of my life, its only God's work that this was what brought us together.
Oh the home routine...forever thankful for the glory days on ET Cheer and the memories made, but especially for that beloved routine that let us meet. From that day on you welcomed me with open arms- at cheer, at your house, and eventually into your family. You were my best friend from that moment on & eventually, on October 25th I became your sister and you became mine.
I want to thank you for so many things, and apologize for so much more. but for now this will do.
Sissy,
Thank you, because you were there when my world was falling apart
Thank you, for giving me not only you as a sister but another brother, a father that sticks around, and a sane momma to also call mine.
Thank you, for teaching me the value of family and friendships
Thank you, for all the ridiculous fights about nothing
Thank you, for all the tears and hugs that came after those stupid fights
Thank you, for always keeping the room messy because cleaning it always gave me a clear head
Thank you, for with that mess I knew my college roommate couldn't be worse
Thank you, for being you - one of the greatest role models there is
you: determined, hard working, kind hearted, compassionate, stubborn, sassy, confident, respectable, full of dreams and ambition, beautiful, and most importantly a loving heart of God.
Thank you, for always curling my hair, doing my makeup, and helping me feel pretty
Thank you, for being wild with me
Thank you, for telling me when I'm getting too wild
Thank you, for wine nights and dance parties
Thank you, for venting time
Thank you, for keeping my secrets & telling me your dirty ones too
Thank you, for showing me how good country music is because I was missing out
Thank you, for summer bucket lists and pop rocks
Thank you, for being there even when we were 1500 miles apart.. "love don't know what distance is"
Thank you, for loving me, fighting for me, and being my best friend through it all
You are one of a kind and I'm so lucky God put you in that stunt with me because I gained a best friend and a sister that day. Most people aren't fortunate enough to say that, or its the other way around based on DNA-but were just a little different and I'm so grateful for that.
Not enough thank you's or I love you's in the world can tell your big sister that doubles as a best friend how much they truly mean to you, but just a few go a long way. Here's to you-I love you sissy.
