You Mean The World To Me Daddy

I Will Always Be Your Little Girl.

You Mean The World To Me Daddy
Personal

Daddy, I hated that I was not able to spend Father's Day with you...but Happy Father's Day.

Most girls are really close with their mom because of mani/pedis, shopping, and going out together...but I'm not most girls.

I'd rather be tearing up back roads, fishing, and playing cards at two in the morning with you...because you know how much I do not like shopping.

I trust you, with all of my heart. You are the only person on this Earth that knows everything about me. I can tell you absolutely anything, even the bad things, and sometimes you do not know what to say, but you still tell me.

You are the one person I can call when I can not sleep and you pick up the phone in a heartbeat (even though you never answer your phone during the day.) So thank you for that, especially that one night it was nearly 5 a.m. and I could not sleep and you let me get everything off of my chest so I could fall asleep.

There is no other person I would much rather watch baseball with and you watching me yell at the screen after bad calls and plays makes it ten times better. Also, thank you for always taking "Family Feud" seriously and acting like we are the family on the show.

Breakfast is normally made by the time I wake up when I am visiting but thank you for always letting me help around the kitchen at dinner time so I can try learning how to cook. PS-Thanks for taking the blame of burning grandma's table cloth.

Boy, when you get mad...man all you hear is cuss words and anger and it's normally when we are fishing because I could never get my line right or the fish would never come off of the hook. Even though you started baiting my hook and taking off the fish, I am able to do that now all on my own...without the fish dying before I get to it.

I have only seen you truly upset maybe once or twice and it breaks my heart. A couple of years ago on Father's Day you laid your best friend to rest and ever since then you have cherished Father's Day and any other day with me as one of your favorite days of the year.

Dad, PLEASE stop telling me "Thank you for coming" as I walk out of the door to go back to moms. I'm not a customer at a grocery store. Do not tell me that. You still say it every time, which is probably force of habit...but we will work on that.

Even though you scared Ethan that day half to death, thank you for always listening to the boys. Whether or not it's them coming over and throwing mac and cheese at the ceiling, barrel fires, dancing in the driveway, or going fishing with us...thank you for getting along with every single one of my guy friends. Also, thank you for listening to the countless of stories about the guys in college...you know how that goes.

One day, you will walk me down the aisle and give me to the man of my dreams...but until that day and even passed that day I will always be your little girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
