You Know You Played High School Soccer If...

High school soccer never seems to fall short of amusing. The friendships you make last a lifetime and the laughs you share are unforgettable. High school soccer is one thing that I will forever miss... no matter how much I thought I hated it at the time.

You know you played high school soccer if...

1. Practice and away games were also social hour. You've gone a total of 30 minutes since talking to your BFF in class, so it was only necessary that you catch up with her!

2. Pasta party nights before a game were your favorite nights. When it was OK to carb up on pasta because you knew you would burn it off the next day.

3. Playing under the lights on a Friday night was the greatest feeling. There is just something so much better about playing a night game.

4. Every team had a "man-woman" on it. We all remember that one player who would hack your ankles and break your legs.

5. Everyone at school knew you played for the team. Instant popularity, right?

6. World Cup was the game of choice at practice. Time to score and win.

7. You probably had to lug around your soccer bag all day. Or it sat in your car and made it smell amazing.

8. Conditioning was the worst. Those 120s never seemed to end.

9. Your sock tan was always on point. Super embarrassing in a bikini, but whatever.

10. If you were a freshman, picking up cones, pennies, and balls was like wearing a dunce cap. So annoying and embarrassing

11. Film days were the best. Because this meant no sprints!

12. Someone's parents probably screamed like a crazy person the whole game. (Maybe even it was your parents.)

13. Visiting the trainer just to miss warm-up was a weekly thing. You know who you are...

14. Your coach may have never even played soccer. But he was still pretty good at yelling at people.

15. There was always some kind of drama on the field. Girls can be mean too, boys!

16. You cried on senior night. Whether or not it was even your senior night, you balled like a baby.

17. Flip flops to class was a no. Despite your hard work on the field, your blisters and bruises weren't considered too "hot" in the classroom.

18. Away games were always the best. The bus rides weren't so bad ALL the time.

18. You left your mark on that field. It may have been in the form of blood, sweat, or tears, but you left one, or all on that field.

High school soccer is an experience in itself. Yeah, the skill level may not have been fantastic, but the memories made playing for your school will always be some of the best.

High school soccer will always hold a piece of my heart.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
