You Have To Experience The Bad To Get The Good

When it comes to life there are often hardships we need to go through in order to live a happy life in the end. It seems strange and much like a rollercoaster but it's the way life works. A lot of times the good comes with the bad. Sometimes we don't see what good can come with the bad but eventually good can come out of it. Here are 10 bad experiences that can end up doing good.

Sometimes you need to cry to be happy

Tenor

A lot of people refuse to let themselves cry when they are upset whether it is because they want to stay strong or don't want to admit that they are hurt. However, sometimes we can't move on until we feel the pain. You won't be happy until you let yourself get over what hurt you. It is okay to cry, in fact, it is healthy.

Sometimes you need to lose something to appreciate what you have

Giphy

Losing something causes us to understand that we need to appreciate what we do have. Sometimes we don't understand how much we needed somebody until we lose them. We don't realize what we do have until it's gone.

Sometimes you need to lose friends to gain the real ones

Giphy

We hate losing friends because sometimes it happens a lot especially when you are moving from schools and etc. You'll learn that despite moving away, some friends still sick around and stay in touch, those are the friends who are real and will stay with you forever. So, if you lose a friend due to moving or a fight, then they weren't as real as you thought.

Sometimes you need to experience bad relationships to get the good ones

Giphy

Everybody has experienced a bad relationship or one that just didn't work out. We learn a lot from our relationships. We learn what we want out of relationships by experiencing ones that didn't work. We all need to go through break ups to find that person that fits with us.

Sometimes you need to make mistakes to succeed

Tenor

We all make mistakes because we are human but a lot of our life lessons come from making mistakes. No successful person has gotten there without failures. Which means it is okay to make mistakes and it is okay to fail because as long as you learn from them and don't give up, you will reach your goals.

Sometimes you need to have a weakness to have strength

GoodReads

Everyone has a weakness but with weakness comes strength. You can't grow stronger without experiencing your weakness. I mean think about it...even superman had kryptonite. So, if an all powerful superhero even has a weakness, it's okay for you to have a weakness too.

Sometimes you need to face your fears to stop being afraid

Facing our fears is hard to do because they are our fears for a reason. When you face a fear, even a little one, it can help you stop being afraid. If you are afraid of heights and go up in a lighthouse, you might still have a fear of heights but you will no longer be afraid of fear. The more you face the braver you'll be. You will still have fear but at least it won't control you.

Sometimes you need to lose yourself to find out who that is

Giphy

You need to get lost to be found. A lot of people at some point in their life has felt like they didn't know who they were or have felt like they lost themselves. However, you need to feel like that to find yourself. We only find what we have lost and if you lose yourself then you have given yourself a chance to find yourself. It can be a process but soul searching can be the scariest and most rewarding thing because we need to know ourselves if we are going to be happy with our lives.

Sometimes you need to die a little inside to know that life is worth living

UsaToday

This sounds very strange but the whole "live like you're dying" quote ties into it. People who have a brush with death have a rude awakening that they need to do everything they can to live the life they have. You don't even need to have a brush with death to realize this but sometimes a heartbreak or a low point in our lives can make us realize that we need to live our lives to the fullest.

Sometimes you need to fall to rise

Giphy

We all go through heartbreaks, failures, loss and it can make us feel so low. Life can throw so much at you and cause you to fall hard. However, sometimes we need to know what it feels like to fall in order to rise. "Rise from the ashes," is the saying and sometimes can be more real than any other saying. It's okay to fall as long as you know to work your way back up and rise from your pain.

Good vs. Bad is a common rivalry but sometimes it is more than the bad guys versus the good, or how good trumps evil. Sometimes it's just about the shit we have to go through to eventually be able to say... "you know what, I had a good life." Everyone has bad in their lives but sometimes we need to go through the bad to get to the good.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
