Someone once told me, "You have the capability of creating your own world. We can choose to let our emotions create or destroy the life we live."
Emotions can steer and change the direction of your life in the blink of an eye. They can make you say things and do things you wouldn’t normally do, good and bad. They make our lives a spontaneous and unique experience.
But how could you create your own flowers? How can you create a world where you feel safe?
Part of being able to create your own world, in my opinion, is finding the beauty within yourself first. Learning to accept who you are is crucial. Understanding yourself and why you do certain things is important for the foundation of your world. Criticizing yourself and evaluating the things that happen in your life let you create a more honest world.
Your world is a reflection of your goals, ambitions, desires, and emotions.
We can give so much time to people who don’t deserve it. We allow people to hurt us continuously until we go numb because we feel like that’s what love is. We fail to believe in ourselves and what we’re capable of accomplishing because we think we need something or someone, but that isn't true.
Your dreams don’t have to be dreams-- they don’t have to sit in the back of your mind collecting dust. Everything you want is obtainable. They say working hard sometimes isn’t the answer, but then what is? Do you just give up on what you really want your life to be like because someone else tells you that you can’t do it?
No.
Sometimes our world is foggy. For the most part, we can never predict what lies ahead of us. Unexpected debts to pay, debts that you can't pay with money. We can experience pain, joy, and betrayal. These emotions can change our perception of the world around us but it isn’t the end of everything.
Pain is temporary. All emotions are temporary-- they change constantly. Of all the emotions, pain only lasts for a moment. It might feel like a long time but, in the grand scheme of life, it can be so insignificant.
Sometimes pain steers us in a better direction. It has the potential to do so depending on what you want to do with the pain. Do you let it absorb your entire being or do you let it guide you?
The way you see life and the things that happen to you ultimately decide what kind of world you will live in.
If you let the negative thoughts haunt you, they will destroy you. I know it’s easy to say to forget them and difficult to actually do, but you have to try. It’s like a sickness. Taking care of your well-being helps your world get better. Surrounding yourself with people who have similar interests can introduce you to new and exciting things, but you can also do it on your own.
Take the time to be alone so you can gather your thoughts. Write down your feelings, acknowledge when you’re in pain and find the source. Discover or rediscover the things you love doing but most importantly, take a second to look around you every once in a while. Take a second to realize that you’re even alive. We might not know our purpose in life, but realize you might serve a purpose in someone else’s. Your presence is welcomed, so be happy that you have the opportunity to live an extraordinary life if you want to.
Your physical body isn’t your limitation, it’s your mentality that limits your whole being. Find what brings you joy and do it as best as you can. Let the joy of your creations create the world you want to live in.
The world we live in might be evil and evil people might exist, but it doesn't have to be part of your world. Acknowledging that bad things are happening all over the world is important but so are good things and if you don't see that good, try to be part of good you wish you saw more of.
Let the good within you come out even if everyone can't see it. Someone you know or maybe someone you don't will notice and it might help them create a better world for themselves too.
