As humans, we aren't perfect. Our noses or ears are too big, we laugh too loud, we have trust issues, and we walk funny. There are flaws in every one of us. However, as I walked around campus the first few weeks back, I truly looked at everyone I passed by. I wanted that girl's legs, the next girl's outfit, hair, etc. I even wanted one girl's lips. But why? I can pick apart 100 girls, and come up with the perfect version of myself from the outside, but inside I'm still a flawed human being.
At some point in your life you've heard the phrase "love yourself." As a senior in college, single for the first time in forever (praise da Lord) I'm learning what it means to love myself. Loving yourself means loving and accepting your flaws. Every. Single. One. No, your eyebrows probably aren't always "on fleek" because, quite frankly, you have as many eyebrows as a newborn baby. Who cares if your ears poke out or if your boobs aren't proportional. You're gorgeous. Love your flaws! Who cares if someone calls you awkward or says negative things about you? Who has the power to tell you who yu are? No one, but yourself!
So, go out there and discover the wonderful being that is you. Sometimes, you'll do it without even knowing! If something is holding you back from being happy and finding out who you are, say bye -- quick, fast, and in a hurry. Learn what you enjoy doing, not what everyone else is doing. Wake up every day with a smile on your face and realize it could always be worse! Take it from me -- smile. Not a thing in this world should ever make you not be happy. If something does, remember that you are a beautiful human being, crafted perfectly by something bigger than ourselves. You are perfect in someone's eyes, so stop doubting yourself and fall madly in love with all that you are!
