You’ve probably heard of the saying “Be The You, You Want to Be”, and thought well of course, why wouldn’t I want to be me? I love being me. As hard as it is to believe though, many people don’t love being themselves. They’d rather hide the real them from the outside world, but why does what anyone else think matter? No one should tell you not to be you, and here is why.
You are wonderful. Yes, this sounds corny and totally from a self motivation book. But it couldn’t be more true. Even though I don’t know you personally, I know you can spread joy or whatever it is you want to spread throughout the world. Let other people know you are wonderful, so they can experience you too.
You are one of a kind. So why not be yourself around other people! You are you, obviously, so share what you are to others. If your scared of being judged, try not to care, if they judge you, you do not need them in your life. Forget and forgive, as well as move on.
You are beautiful. Social media and society defines “true beauty” as being the size of a supermodel as well as looking like one. So being “perfect” pretty much, and that is so not true. True beauty is not being tall, tan and having luscious locks of hair. Beauty is a bunch of qualities put together, whether it’s on the outside or on the inside.
You are fun. Fun is such a broad term that no matter what type of person you are, you are fun. I can promise you that. You don’t have to be loud, talk to people and party all of the time to be fun, sometimes that is just being obnoxious. Being fun can include so many different things, from being funny, to just enjoyable to talk to about whatever it is you like. No matter who you are, you are fun, no matter what movies tell you.
You are intelligent. No matter what you know, or who you know, you know something. Whether it be book smart, life smart or even people smart, you know something others don’t. Your brain is like a book, that never ends, and it is really amazing actually.
So honestly don’t listen to what others and society have to say, you are great, and don’t ever change who you are.
