You Are Good Enough For Him

Even when you don't feel worthy.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:1

Lord, I am not worthy of you. I am not the person I once was, nor am I the person I want to be. I am praying to you to say thank you for my many blessings and I am sorry for sins that I commit everyday. I cast all of my cares and worries on you, and I strive for strength, wisdom, grace, and power. I want to be a vessel of your love, your persistence, your character, and your strength. Let me be a light on others to show them that even when we do not feel good enough for others, we are good enough for You.

Today I am faithful. I am faithful to all around me, but most importantly I am faithful to you. What is baffling to me is that I don't have to be faithful to you for you to be faithful to me. I was always taught to treat others the way you want to be treated, but you are the exception. I will never give you enough but you will always be enough for me. Thank you for excepting my mistakes, and still believing that I am good enough for You.

Today I am undeserving. I do not deserve you, Lord. I do not deserve your undying love because I cannot provide the same for you. I will never love you as much as you love me. Why is that? I can try everyday, but you will always love me more. And somehow, I will always be good enough for You.

Today I am sorry. I am sorry for my mistakes and the pain that I have caused others. I am sorry that I am not the person I want to be, and I am sorry that I do not talk to you as often as I should. I am sorry that I miss church sometimes, and I keep putting off my daily devotional. I am sorry that I am not worthy of your love, but I will always strive to be the best I can be. I am sorry that some weeks I turn away from you, and I am sorry that I ask for forgiveness so often. Why doesn't it matter that I make mistakes? You still think I am good enough for You.

Today I am confident. Through my anxiety, stress, and busy schedules, I am confident in you. I know that you look past my mistakes and you see the perfection I strive to be. You know that I am a child of God, and that I want to live my life for you. I am confident in You above all other things, Lord. I am good enough for You.

Thank you, Lord for allowing me to be good enough for You when I don't feel good enough for others.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
