16 Things Every Girl Can Make With A Pumpkin, Besides A Magic Carriage

You obviously can't be this far into October without having picked up at least ONE classic PSL... but what about all the other things you can make with a pumpkin? Although I am extremely jealous of Cinderella's pumpkin carriage, it's not realistic for me to show up to class in one. However, your classmates WILL thank you if you show up with enough pumpkin pie for everyone!

1. Pumpkin bread.

Pumpkin bread is the perfect fall breakfast to go with your morning coffee. Try stuffing the bread with some cream cheese frosting, if you want some extra sweetness!

2. Pumpkin cocktails.

Yeah, pumpkin coffee is great... but you can't drink it all day. Spice things up a bit at the next party with some fancy pumpkin alcoholic beverages. If you're a beer person, don't worry; there's even such thing as Pumpkin Beer.

3. Roasted pumpkin seeds.

If you don't make these every year anyway, what are you doing? These are a crispy, light snack you can bring to class (or anywhere else) and munch on. Plus, anyone who owns an oven should be perfectly capable of making these!

4. Pumpkin bowls.

Ever think of turning your pumpkin into something you can serve food in? Well, it's possible. Simply cut off the top half of the pumpkin and fill it with treats or decor for the kitchen table!

5. Pumpkin risotto.

Gordon Ramsay would be so proud if you could pull this one off flawlessly. If you do, it's a masterpiece.

6. Pumpkin hummus.

Sweet-flavored hummus became a thing a few years ago. If you haven't tried it yet, pumpkin-flavored hummus is a real hit for get-togethers or just an afternoon snack.

7. Pumpkin ravioli.

Yes, you will be stuffing the ravioli with pumpkin. And yes, it tastes amazing. Just trust me.

8. Pumpkin macaroni and cheese.

It's another classic noodle dish that blends surprisingly well with pumpkin flavors. Who knew cheese and pumpkin fit so perfectly together?

9. Baked pumpkin fries.

You've tried sweet potato fries, but have you ever tried pumpkin fries? In my professional opinion, they're superior by a long shot.

10. Pumpkin grits.

You already knew pumpkin flavors were ideal for breakfast, but I bet you didn't know it even works for grits! Mix the cheese in too, if you're feeling fancy.

11. Pumpkin pancakes.

Or, waffles. Whichever floats your boat, really!

12. Pumpkin soup.

There's nothing better than curling up with a nice, hot bowl of pumpkin soup before bed with your favorite fall movie. I'm dreaming of doing this right now, actually.

13. Pumpkin pizza.

Forget ordering Domino's this October, you can make your own pizza with a kick- pumpkin flavor!

14. Salads.

What would a salad be without an absurd amount of toppings? Once fall rolls around, you have a valid excuse to add pumpkin (or pumpkin seeds) to your salads.

15. Pumpkin chili.

This is the ideal mixture of heat and sweet, although you can alter it however you prefer. This warm meal is perfect for a chilly night indoors.

16. Pumpkin salsa.

Add it to your tacos, dip your Tostitos in it, or put it inside your quesadilla. Taco Tuesday with a twist!

Now, before you say you don't know what to make this fall; you have a full list of pumpkin-inspired dishes that are sure to liven up the party. October is finally here, and it's about time we start showing it!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
