Food. Games. Music. Fun. Laughter. These are the words that describe the Great Pumpkin Festival in North Smithfield. Pumpkin Festival is great for the family.

1. Food

There is a lot of different food at the Pumpkin Festival. We have hot dogs, fritters, onion rings, cotton candy and many more different foods to eat. Everyone that participates in the pumpkin festival are volunteers. I love going to the Pumpkin Festival just for the food. You honestly can't go wrong with the food.

2. Games

There are a lot of games at the Pumpkin Festival. They have the pumpkin slingshot, where you get to throw the pumpkin as far as you go and if you are the furthest, you win. They also have a game called "Guess How Much The Great Pumpkin Weighs." It's incredible to see how big the farmers can grow a pumpkin. There are also fun games for the kids. Most of the time, the kids win a goldfish.

3. Music, Fun and Laughter

There is a lot of great music featured this year at the pumpkin festival. Everyone should stop by the Great Pumpkin Festival on September 17 in North Smithfield, RI at the North Smithfield High School turf field. You will have a lot of fun and you'll get to become part of our town. This is an amazing tradition and I believe it is worth your time!
