As someone who has to write an article every week, coming up with topics that reach the criteria can be hard. Even in school when we are asked to write essays, it s sometimes hard to figure out something to write. Even if a topic is given to you, there are times when you can't put your words onto paper. Here are some ideas to open your mind, and get rid of this writer's block.

1. Meditate

One reason you may have writer's block is due to stress. Meditation is known for releasing one's stress and opening the mind. If you just take a few minutes out of your day to meditate you'll become less stressed, allowing the words to flow out.

2. Explore someplace new

Sometimes, we get in a rut, going to the same places and never try anywhere new. If we always go to the same places, we may fall into a routine and then nothing new or exciting may ever happen here. This is why you should explore somewhere new. You may be missing out on something amazing somewhere else.

3. Change your surroundings

Just like the last step, if you always write in the same place, nothing new may ever happen. Also, if you write in a spot that you do a lot of things in, like a bed, than you can start doing those other things when you are supposed to be writing. So try either setting a certain place where you only write or going somewhere new to write and not get distracted.

4. Hang out with an old friend

An old friend has memories of you that you may not remember. Whatever the reason you do not see them as much, it can make you think about more things and see things from a different perspective. You can bounce ideas off of them and maybe create new ones just through a simple conversation.

5. Do something you haven't done in a while.

When you were younger, you would always go on adventures, explore and try things you never would now that you're older. Your imagination may have been more exciting when you were child, so go back and try something you haven't done since you were a child.

6. Sit and observe

Sometimes you just need to sit down and watch. Whether you're watching television or you're outside people watching, eventually you'll think of something. Or someone will say something that reminds you of a topic or an idea.

7. Just start writing

Even if it's just a sentence, or even a word, write it down. And keep writing them down. You never know when they may come in handy or if they will spark a great idea in your head that leads to something bigger than one word. Just writing one word may just be the start of a novel.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
