As a college student, the feelings of worry, stress and thoughts of dropping out come across our mind once in a while. Those feelings, however, never last. For some, they can worry one day and be okay for the whole semester, but for others it's a year round struggle. We have all heard the saying, "Trouble don't last always" and some people may not believe it, but it is in fact true.
I used to worry about all kinds of things. I thought that to care I had to stress, but I realized that all worrying did was make me crazy! Not only did I notice that, but also I noticed that I forgot that I have God to put my mind at ease. I know that once I start stressing about money or grades, that He will provide me with all my needs.
When we worry, we affect our relationship with Him and each other by putting a wall of stress around us. We can instantly tear that wall down when we see that our problems are not as big as our God. When our eyes and hearts open up to Him, our worries get a little bit smaller and our problems disappear.
So, if you ever feel like the world is on your shoulders and no one can help you get through it, fall to your knees and ask for help. God may not be there when you want Him, but He will be there right on time when you need Him.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7
