Congratulations you've made it to your senior year of high school! You have an exciting year ahead of you, you will always remember this time in your life with the ones you love most! Make the most of this year and enjoy every second of it.

1. Senior year is fun, but don't let that distract you from working hard.

There are so many exciting events to look forward to this year. Football games, senior pictures, senior sport nights, spirit days, prom and graduation. But don’t let that distract you from trying your best and working hard like you have the last 3 years of high school. You have to finish out strong!

2. Senioritis is REAL.

I never thought it would actually kick in, but it did. You will not want to do any homework or work, but you need to. You will look back and regret it if you don’t finish your 4 years out with a bang!

3. Be in the moment.

Senior year is a great year for you and your friends to have fun and enjoy your last year together. Enjoy every moment of the time you spend with your friends because soon you'll be wishing for them back.

4. I know you're excited about graduation, but you will be sad when it comes.

I know most seniors are counting down the days till graduation and it is an exciting thing but no matter how excited you are for that day to come, you will be sad to leave your teachers and friends that day.

5. Enjoy every moment with your friends, because a year from now everything will be different.

Senior year is great to spend time with your friends. Be open to making new friends and doing things you normally wouldn’t do. You will meet some of the greatest friends in your senior year. Make tons of memories that you will always remember. Going to college and leaving your friends will be sad, but you will always have those memories you made along the way.

6. No matter how many times you say you won't miss high school, you will.

You will miss those teachers you had that were always there for you, you will miss walking down the hallway seeing familiar faces and you will miss your friends. Don’t wish it all away.

7. Enjoy senior events.

There are many events for seniors to enjoy, go and make memories. Prom, for example is an amazing night to spend with your friends and is a great time. Senior year is an exciting year so try not to miss out on these events because you will remember them for the rest of your life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
