Let’s face it everyone, the 2016 election is going to be a shit storm, and before people start screaming, “well Hillary is problematic, too,” let’s just be adults and admit that both candidates suck in some way. They’re not perfect, they all have faults, blah blah blah. We can all agree on that, right? It’s a political and social nightmare and every day a new skeleton is being drug out of a closet.
And this weeks was Mr. Pumpkin-head himself. I’m assuming everyone has seen this video, in which Troompa-Loompa makes lewd and degrading comments towards women. It’s sick and vulgar, and not the first time this has happened unfortunately.
As the election has gone on, dozens of women are coming forward saying the candidate has sexually abused or assaulted them. He doesn’t care, in fact he openly makes a joke of it by saying the woman wasn’t “attractive enough” to get his attention.
Beyond this, Trump has a history of saying vulgar, degrading, insulting, and just ridiculous things about women. Trump has said he would date his daughter, that flat chested people can’t be attractive, and looks are the only thing that matters for a woman to get a job.
So, to all of the women out there: HOW ARE YOU VOTING FOR HIM?
How can you possibly look past someone with as disgusting beliefs as him? Even if you agree with his policies why would you vote for someone that sees you as nothing besides a piece of ass? Why are you going to let someone that doesn’t care about your rights run the country?
People look up to the President, it’s plain and simple. The President is supposed to reflect America’s ideals and values. And you want to elect someone that talks about your gender in such a slanderous manner?
What is that going to make the general public think? If the President can get away with wanting to “grab a woman by the pussy” and kiss her, well then it must be okay to do.
As a liberal and a feminist, I cannot find it in me to vote for a Cheeto. But to all of the women who are, please tell me why.
Maybe you were able to look past his non-existent political career, his awful VP choice, the tweets, the lies, his attitude, his lack of respect for anyone who doesn’t agree with him, and his attitude.
Even if you were able to turn a blind eye on everything else, how can you ignore this? How are you going to let this slide.
But if you're still on the Trump-wagon and are ready to #makeamericagreatagain, please.
