Week One
You get home and your parents could not be more excited to see you. The fridge is stocked and your mom has planned to make all of your favorite foods.
You decide not to unpack just yet because you have all of break to do that and you just got home. It's time to finally relax.
You meet up with your old friends and it's like nothing has changed.
Christmas arrives and you don’t dread seeing your family because you figure they got all of their interrogating out of their systems a month ago at Thanksgiving.
Week Two
Still haven’t unpacked, but you’re not out of clothes yet, and there is still more than half of the break to do that so you postpone it just a little bit longer. Instead you binge-watch all of the shows you missed during the semester.
After spending days watching TV you decide you should actually do something, so you text your friends to hang out. Once you are together you can’t figure out what to do and wonder what you spent the past 18 years at home doing.
Week Three
You are out of clothes so you are forced to do laundry, but because break is halfway done you decide not to bother with unpacking.
And it takes some serious debate when it comes to deciding whether going to the store is worth running the risk of bumping into more people you don’t want to see.
The Christmas cheer is pretty much over and you start to miss school and your friends.
Week Four
Break is almost over and you are filled with mixed emotions. You're sad about leaving home but excited to get back to school.
But you know that you couldn't do this for much longer. Surprising: doing nothing all day is exhausting.
So you put everything back with the things you never unpacked and say your goodbyes.
Or maybe it's more of a see you later, because you'll be back for spring break in a few months.
