Winter break, AKA, hibernation for college students, includes long naps, lots of food, and constant Netflix. Warning: giving college students responsibilities over winter break might cause mood swings, sass, and sarcasm.
1. When your mom takes you shopping.
Free clothes? Don't mind if I do!
2. Seeing your high school friends again.
Because you spent some of the craziest years of your life with those weirdos and you've missed them, you just can't contain your excitement when you see them again!
3. And then going on a crazy adventure with them.
Getting back together with your high school friends is a recipe for disaster, but what a beautiful disaster it is!
4. Eating your mother's delicious homemade cooking.
Sure, I'll eat vegetables! Wait, you mean this meat isn't pre-packaged? Wow!
5. Realizing how much your habits have changed in a few weeks.
I'm pretty sure that I unlearned everything I learned this semester. I also lost all interest in anything that can't be done while sitting down. But the good news is that I've binge-watched three different shows on Netflix!
6. Wanting to talk to your friends but also being ridiculously lazy.
If your phone rings and you're too lazy to get up and answer it, did it really ring?
7. When your parents make you schedule your own appointments.
Calling the dentist's office is worse than getting teeth pulled. Ugh.
8. But then remembering you get delicious free food all the time.
I guess that being responsible is worth all the food.
9. How you imagine you'll spend New Years' Eve.
(Not that you even have anyone to kiss, but that's fixable).
10. How you ACTUALLY spend New Years' Eve.
Why does it get so loud at 12:00 a.m. on January 1st? Why?
11. Going back to visit your high school and not recognizing anyone.
Where did all of these freshman come from?
12. When people ask what you've been doing all break.
"Right, well I've watched all of "Friends," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Supernatural." But don't worry, I manage to get a tight 12 hours of sleep every night."
13. Then remembering that you have to go back for Spring.
Reality hits you like a ton of bricks. Or a puck to the back of the head. Whatever.
Enjoy the rest of your winter vacation!
