Leslie Knope. A character we all wish, hope, and pray could be real. We all love her. She kicks butt at everything she does. She has the perfect husband, amazing friends and co-workers, mad love for waffles and whipped cream, what’s not to love?
As we approach the end of the year and finals week, I think it’s safe to say we all need to be reminded on how to channel our inner Leslie Knope. Enjoy this guide on how to stay true and confident in yourself, as told by America’s favorite leading lady.
1. Believe in yourself.

In order to get to where you want to be in life, you must believe in yourself. Thinking about applying for that dream internship? Want to run for that leadership position you aren’t so sure you’re capable of? Just do it! We all have to start somewhere. Someone’s gotta be your number one fan, and that person is you.
2. Push your limits
Figuring out where to start is the first step. In order to be good at anything, we must give ourselves the chance to have these opportunities. There will always be challenges and roadblocks along the way, but if you are determined, anything can be achieved.
3. Give yourself credit
Did you kill that exam that had been stressing you out all week? Did you get elected to that leadership position you’ve been dreaming about for so long? Celebrate your achievements and give yourself credit! You deserve to feel on top of the world, so why hide your success?
4. Accept that it is okay to make mistakes

We all have decisions we regret. We don’t always make the
right choices. In order to improve and better ourselves, we must accept that
mistakes happen, and we must learn from them. Don’t dwell on the past because
it happened and it isn’t going to change. Always be looking for ways to improve
yourself.
5. Radiate confidence
6. Know what you want in life
Don’t let others influence your decisions. You are your own person and you know what you want. While it’s great to have friends and family to help guide you along the way, it’s ultimately up to you to decide what you think is important and valuable. Discover that and harness it.
7. Soak in and appreciate every moment
Oh Leslie, you confident, positive, sweet little honey bee. There is a lot that to be learned from someone so successful and just plain perfect.
As you enter one of the craziest times of the year, remind yourself of what you are capable of, and don’t let the stress stop you from achieving what you want.
