Starting in September, I began training for the Hot Chocolate 15k. Although I ran this same race last year, I didn’t take it very seriously. This year, I wanted to push myself to do my best. My goal this year was to finish around the 2 hour mark, which would be a PR for me. I was able to beat my goal, and I ended up finishing in 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 2 seconds.
My run was not at all easy and I felt more challenged than ever before. Though I felt tired during the race, my weariness was replaced with pride in my accomplishments. Though I was unsure if I would be able to make it to the finish, my fear was replaced with joy. I am so glad that I challenged myself with this race, and I can’t wait to find more ways to challenge myself in the future!
So take the time to watch my video clips of the race. I had fun running, and I had fun taking these videos!
