Will Nick Viall Finally Find True Love?

Okay, so my guilty pleasure, and most of America’s, including my father who will be so mad at me for telling the Internet that, is watching TheBachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and basically any show that is hosted by Chris Harrison. The world has been waiting for, some secretly and some openly, the announcement of the new Bachelor for next season. There was this huge debate between Luke and Chase. I personally was rooting for Luke because the show would’ve basically turned into a Nicholas Sparks novel. Seriously though, Luke could have easily been the new Noah from the Notebook, waiting to find his Allie. Plus, there isn’t any doubt that his intentions are pure. However, then there was the debate for Chase. Both are mysterious in their own ways, but Chase was just starting to open up, I mean come on JoJo. How will he ever open up his heart again? Well, he could have if Chris Harrison had given him a chance to be The Bachelor, but to everyone’s surprise, Nick Viall was chosen. “WHAT?” That was my initial reaction. Let’s face it, he has been on the show three times. First, he was runner up on Andy Dorfman’s season, then he made a surprise appearance during Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season and somehow again got “dumped” at the proposal. As if those two weren’t bad enough, on Bachelor in Paradise he then reversed the situation and did the breaking up with himself, ending things with Jennifer from Ben Higgin’s season. I thought that three times was the charm. However, I have to say that I am extremely excited to watch Nick’s season because not only did he used to be a bad boy, possibly still is, but he also has the most spectacular body I have ever seen. Where did that come from? How was that not enough to win him a proposal? Not to mention that he was a total sweetheart this season on Bachelor in Paradise. I just feel like he didn’t really love Jen. I guess now he has his chance. Since Nick will finally be the one in the spotlight, he finally won’t be the runner up. However, I do have my doubts. What if he gets to the end again and does what he did to Jen? Despite my doubts, here are five reasons why this season Nick will be different:

1. Josh won’t be there

Of course Josh isn’t the sole reason why Nick hasn’t found true love. In Josh’s defense, he was not present on Kaitlyn’s season with Nick, so that one was all on Nick. However, Paradise was clearly a consistent battle between the two of them. According to social media, it seems as though they have settled their differences, and finally Nick is free to fall, in love that is.

2. He’s got plenty of experience

Since this will be Nick’s forth time on a Chris Harrison hosted show, he has plenty of reality TV show time under his belt.

3. He has been on both ends of a relationship now

Now Nick has been the one who has been dumped, twice, and he is the one who has done the dumping. So, he basically couldn’t do any worse than he has already done.

4. He is no longer the one doing the chasing

Finally, every single woman will have her eyes on Nick, rather than him doing the pursuing. This means we eliminate one of the possibilities- he can't get dumped. At least, that's probably not going to happen. We'll see.

5. He has aged enough to be at the point of settling down

Nick is not the same “bad boy” he was on Kaitlyn’s season. He may still have some of those qualities, but he has continued to age throughout this period (obviously) and he is clearly on the show for the right reasons now. He wants to settle down. Finally.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
