I Will Always Be Your Girl

And that will never change.

I Will Always Be Your Girl
Lora Howard

You have always told me, "you're my girl, my special girl." Honey, I am so glad that I am.

Who knows where we would be today if we never met or fell in love? Or where we would be in life or what we would be doing with/in school? Because I know for a fact I wouldn't be where I am today without your support and confidence in me.

You always have treated me right. You have never hurt me over the years we've been together nor have you disrespected me or our relationship. You treat me like a princess.

You have made my dreams become the reality. I have prayed and prayed to God to find me a man who would never break my heart and to love me unconditonally. To find a man who believes in me what ever I do and to be my absolute best friend. I sure did found that man and that man is you.

I was hurt badly by a guy in high school and never had a slow dance that I deserved at prom. So one night you told me, "get up honey, I want to slow dance with you because you deserve it. You deserve to be treated like a princess." So we slowed dance to one of our songs "Grow Old" by Florida Georgia Line and another. Honey, I am so grateful to have a guy like you to do that for me. You. Are. Seriously. The. Best.

Yes, relationships take a lot effort but if you're in the right one, it will be easy. It should never be hard. Well of course, there will be bumps in the road and a few arguments here and there, but again, if you're in the right one, it will be easy to conquer them together.

As much as I hate arguing with you every once in awhile, I am so glad that I get to argue with you.

You have the biggest heart and not only for me, but for everyone around you. You'd help a stranger in need that asks for help. You never have second thoughts in doing so. That is what makes you so amazing. You inspire me to open my heart more.

I question this all the time, "why are you so good to me?" Sometimes I just can't believe how lucky I got when I fell in love with you. You have shown me what it is like to be treated with love, respect, trust and honesty. You can't find that in guys anymore and I am so glad to have found you because you are so rare and I am never letting you go.

You take the time out of your day to make sure you get to talk to me out of your crazy, busy school schedule. Even if we can't talk on the phone every night, you try to talk to me as much as you can and that is what the thought that counts. Thank you for doing that honey, I am so blessed to have you.

Yes, we are in college and yes, we are young. But I am so, so madly in love with you and I know for a fact that you're the love of my life. There is no doubt about it. It's my gut feeling and it is also what my heart knows.

I just want you to know is that I promise I will always be there for you, through the good and the bad. I promise to love you even when life gets tough. I promise to hold your hand and be your shoulder to lean on when you need me. I promise to be your nurse when you start to not feel well. I promise to be your biggest supporter and fan in life, I will always be there cheering you on in everything you do. I promise all of those things and I will promise you over and over again to make sure you know I am so serious about keeping my promise.

But the last thing I'll promise is I promise to always be your girl, your special girl.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
