When you're in a sorority, some of your best memories are the big/little reveals. As a little, you remember the excitement as you wait to find out who your big is. As a big, you feel as if you're adopting a child. There are hours of stressful preparation that go into the big day, but it is all worth it when you finally get to spend time with your little. She is more than just your little sister; she is a part of your soul you never knew was missing.

1. She loves you for who you are: your quirks, your flaws, everything.

Let's face it, you're probably more than a little insane. That's perfectly fine, because your little loves you anyway. The relationship between you is so much stronger than anyone can ever understand.

2. She is the most patient listener. It doesn't matter if it's politics or boy trouble, she'll listen.

You know that boy you've been talking about nonstop? Yeah, everyone knows who that boy is. It doesn't matter though because your little is there to listen to you mention him for the millionth time (that day). She'll also listen to your political rants, your family troubles, your favorite TV show recaps, and everything in between. When she listens, you can tell how much she genuinely cares.

3. She is your #1 fan.

You're her role model even though you're not entirely sure why. Even when you doubt yourself, your little is there to support you. She is the person who will believe in you until you start to believe in yourself again.

4. She will support you in any decision you make.

Sometimes you need a little reassurance that you're on the right path, and you can bet that your little will be there to let you know. Once you put your mind to achieving a new goal, she'll be a driving force behind your success.

5. She knows when you're upset.

It doesn't matter how many times you insist you're fine, your little will know when you're not OK. Not only that, but she'll go out of her way to make you feel better with movie marathons and cuddles.

6. She is always up for a dinner date, or girls' night.

If you're ever feeling lonely or could just use some quality girl time, she'll be there. She loves food as much as you do, so she is always up for second breakfast/lunch/dinner if you need someone to grab food with.

7. She is honest.

You can be absolutely certain that your little will never let you walk out in public not looking your best. (Unless you don't care that day.) She will tell you the truth about cute boys who are total idiots, and help you choose the best cookie recipe. Honesty is the only policy between you two.

8. She protects your heart.

Sometimes you really don't know what is best for you, or you think you have a situation under control. Spoiler alert: you don't. Your little will always help you through these tough times. Whether it's warning you ahead of time, possibly going after the person who hurt you, or being a shoulder to cry on- your little will do her best to protect your heart.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
