If you have ever watched the show Sex and the City, then you understand the various personality traits that each person has. Miranda Hobbes can be really pessimistic yet realistic. Charlotte York is very hopeful and positive. The main character Carrie Bradshaw is funny and hard working. The fourth girlfriend, and most essential character in the series is Samantha Jones. Samantha is a woman who knows what she wants. She is not afraid to go for it and will never let you stop her. Although she is very forward with her actions, if you listen to what she says, view what she does, and pay attention, she actually has some life changing advice that can help you through your dating/social life in your 20s, 30s, 40s, and even 50s and beyond.

The best advice you can receive is from someone who knows what they are talking about and that is the exactly why you should love Samantha Jones.

Samantha Jones taught us to never care what people say about you. You rarely see Samantha get upset about someone or something unless it’s completely unfair. Her character is very popular around New York City and she knows that she is bound to be a part of conversations at some point. She shrugs off the “haters” and continues living her life as if nothing affects her.

With that in mind, she taught us to do what you want and love what you do. She is a strong and independent woman who won’t let a man, woman, or idea distract her from living her life.

You have to stand up for your rights. Who cares about your gender or your choices? Stand up for what you believe in.

And she would bring up the unfair treatment of women in the workforce.

Yes, Samantha has had a lot of experience with men, in and out of the bedroom, so when it comes to relationships, Samantha knows a thing or two about what to say and what to do, and that is putting it mildly. Whenever any of her girlfriends had a problem, she knew exactly what to say.

She's always there to give her girlfriends the real deal and doesn't hold back.

For those who refuse to have emotions about hook ups, she is your gal.

No matter your age, Samantha lets us know that age really doesn’t matter.

Never be afraid to try new things.

Samantha Jones taught us to never back away from a challenge. She knows exactly what it takes to rise up to the occasion (and dress like it too).

As a Public Relations and event planner, Samantha kew what it took to have a good time. She always planned the best and threw the best parties no matter the occasion. She will always go down in history for hosting some of the best events in [fictional] New York City history.

Through it all, she always stays true to her friends and supports them through everything.

And most importantly, she taught us that self-love is the most important love of all.

Yes, you may not agree with Samantha Jones’s actions but you have to agree that she knows what she’s talking about. Sixteen years after the first episode of Sex and the City and she’s still a favorite among millions of people.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
