Jordan Nelson. 20. Makes fuckin' awesome French Toast. Takes long showers. Has a car. Listens to dope music. Pretty chill. Supports shopping problems.

MJ Williams. 20. Sleeps on the couch. Drives me home from work. Grandma thinks he’s cute. Has his life figured out. Makes magical moments. *Dab*

Welcome to part 2 of my “Jordan Nelson” series. As you can tell, she’s pretty cool. I’m incredibly lucky to have met her and to have become friends with her, but I’m even luckier to be able to live with her and share basically every minute of every day together. Should we be tired of each other? Probably. Are we? No. In fact, we’re so not tired of each other that we’re basically the same person.

In this series I am also introducing you to MJ Williams. Lady killer and best friend extraordinaire. He sleeps on our couch, so we basically spend every minute of every day together as well. Should we be tired of each other? Probably. Are we? No. The three of us are, as we like to say, the three’s company of our generation. Why? Because we’re too cool not to be.

Living with someone can make things come into the light that you never thought needed too. You learn little things about each other, little habits that the other person has, and you learn to love those little things. Spending more then a day apart? Unbearable. Whys that? Because you adapt to living with the other person, and you adapt to them as well as how they live. And moving from that abruptly can lead to a few things;

Separation anxiety.

Loneliness.

Boredom.

Loss of appetite.

Sleeping through work.

A multitude of things, really. And they all suck. But a lot of great things come from living with someone as well. Especially with people like Jordan and MJ.

They can be your rock. They can take care of you. They know what you need to hear when you’re upset, but they also know the kind of tough love you can take, and they use that to help you. They support you in all your bad decisions, but never judge you, because they know you would never judge them. They tell you if a purchase is a good idea or not, and then proceed to convince you to buy it anyway because we’re young and why the hell not?

They are willing to listen, even at obscene hours of the night. And they’ll hold you when you just need to cry, and make you really bomb French Toast. They also know they can talk to you, no matter what, and they know that you’ll never tell a soul if they don’t want you too, because you’re best friends and you would never betray a friend like that.

Living with your best friends can be tricky, and it can get a little sketchy. You know what it’s like to hang out with them, but living with them and being around them 24/7, someone is bound to get tired of the other, right? Wrong. If you live with the right people, and you know the boundaries of the friendship, then nothing can really get in the way. It’s like any relationship in your life; you have to compromise to make it work. With the best best friends in the world, nothing can get in your way, not even a measly couch or the single spatula in the apartment.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
