No I am not 8, I am 19, and I still love children's movies. Honestly, whatever though. Moana is a revolutionary hit because she defies the Disney princess stereotypes. If you're in the mood for a lighthearted movie that might make you tear up a little, go see Moana. Here's why:

1. Moana advocates being who you want to be and following your heart.

She disobeys her entire village and basically gives up being a princess, and risks her life, just to follow her heart. Now that's inspiration.

2. The Pig and the Rooster

Pua the pig and Heihei the rooster, how perfect?! Heihei really has no relevance to the movie except for making you laugh and accompanying Moana, but Pua is adorable! Can someone please get me a stuffed animal?

3. Moana was created to have a normal body type.

After all of these years, Disney finally designed a princess that isn't stick skinny.

4. Only the best Polynesian music EVER

All of the music is upbeat and happy! And, SPOILER ALERT, there is a (shiny) crab named Tamatoa who sings a song written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (who wrote "Hamilton" The Musical!!!) in a French accent - it's perfect.

5. The creators of the film went to the Southern region of Oceania for research.

So everything is, contrary to popular belief, actually somewhat realistic. The designer of Moana's clothes made them historically and regionally accurate, so Moana only wears clothes and patterns that would've been available in the time era. Also, the male lead Maui was originally the main character, but Moana took over, because girl power, duh.

6. Speaking Of Maui, A.K.A. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson...

He sings. "The Rock" sings. It's great, you're welcome. See what I did there?

7. This is the first Disney princess movie that does not have a romance.

Though I must admit to waiting for Moana and Maui to fall in love, it didn't happen. This is because the creators of Moana wanted the plot of the movie to revolve around Moana’s own issues and finding herself, not her relationship with a guy.

Okay, need I say more? I cried, I laughed, I got nervous, and I got happy. You don't need to be a child to go see this new princess movie. I guarantee you will love it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
