What better way to kick off the start of summer than at a two-day music festival in sunny San Bernardino, California? Good music…good vibes...good company… it cannot be beat! With a variety of talented artists, the Kaya Festival will be taking place at the end of this coming April in order to commemorate the famous Bob Marley’s Kaya album as well as celebrate the ideals that Marley stood for in his life time. Members of the Marley family along with other highly-respected reggae and R&B artists will congregate in order to use their passion for music to cultivate an environment focused around love and peace.
The lineup for the event was just recently made available to the public. On the first day (Saturday, April 28th), seven Marley members, Action Bronson, Common Kings, Inner Circle, and Roots of Creation are a handful of the performers who will take the stage. On the second day (Sunday, April 29th), two Marley members, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Cypress Hill, and Third World will be featured in order to wrap up the magic of the festival.
Of the Marley members that are performing at the festival is Stephen Marley. Stephen is Bob Marley’s son and is responsible for organizing the musical celebration to honor his father. His goal is to carry on his father’s loving legacy. This will be the first time in ages that all of these Marley members are performing together on stage, so you will not want to miss it! This coming festival happens to be occurring alongside the 40th anniversary of the Kaya album, so even more enthusiasm can be expected.
Whether you’re a fan of reggae, R&B, and hip-hop or not, the Kaya Music Festival will undoubtedly be an exciting, moving, and entertaining experience. It would prove to be difficult to find fault in a musical celebration of happiness and love on a warm, sunny day in California. It is even said to be the perfect event for all ages. So, start your summer off right by attending the festival and appreciating the important things in life that Bob Marley stood for.
