I am a typical college student who has come to the point in my Christmas Break where I am completely and utterly bored back at home. So during my pointless hours on social media, I started noticing a trend. Many people were tweeting about this thing called "Trivia Crack". So once I figured out it was an app, out of curiosity (and boredom) I decided to download it. This is when everything went south.
Now I like to think of myself as a fairly nice, easy going person, but in my life time I have been described as "hard-headed" and "competitive" and I know for a fact that I love always being right. I also have a very addictive personality and because of this, Trivia Crack has brought out the worst in me. I would imagine being addicted to actual crack is something like the way I feel towards this game. I'm constantly thinking about my next hit, I mean... turn, and I get a indescribable rush of adrenaline and excitement when I finally get another character crown. This has me starting games with people from High School that I haven't spoken to in years (one actually slid into my Trivia Crack DMs, but that's a whole other story). I also, admittedly, have texted my friends multiple times reminding them, nicely of course, that it is their turn. However, this is not an addiction I plan on recovering from. Yeah, yeah, maybe I can be a little less crazy, but I like to think of this "problem" as a good one to have.
Unlike actual crack, I'm not losing brain cells or teeth, I am gaining valuable knowledge I can take back to actual trivia nights in college that will help me win a free pitcher of beer or something. Win-win in my book. So if you are a very intense, competitive person like me, maybe let's just take it down a notch. It is still important to do other things than Trivia Crack, like eating or sleeping.
P.S. I took breaks writing this to play Trivia Crack.
P.P.S. Play me in Trivia Crack.
