The Bachelor season is upon us, so ladies pull out your wine glasses and get ready to draft your top picks of who the winner will be. With its newest season premiering and with Nick Viall as the leading man. As a fan of the show for many years, you obviously have your reasons why you watch but some significant others or just hesitant friends need some more convincing. So here's a few reasons why The Bachelor will go down as one of the best reality dating shows in television history. Ever.
Chris Harrison...need we say more?
Chris Harrison is a god-send. This show would be no where without him. He has hosted all twenty seasons of The Bachelor and never misses a beat. Twenty seasons! He just gets better and better each year. How can you not love hearing those infamous words: "Ladies, this is the final rose tonight."
It gives you an excuse to drink wine on Monday nights.
Not that you really need an excuse to drink on a Monday night...but it would be nice to be able to enjoy a glass (or glasses) of wine on a week day without being judged (Jojo's mom). Plus, the show makes for great drinking games! Anytime they mention the word love, hot, or rose...you'll surely be drunk within the first ten minutes.
The show is your guilty pleasure.
Nobody really likes Mondays anyways, so after a long hard day at school or work, you sneak away to your secret space and watch the show. Nothing says relaxing more than watching girls pawn over a guy that they've known for approximately five minutes. Now, that is quality entertainment in its purest form.
You know you love to hate it.
Along with the previous point, if you're not watching for the romance then you're definitely watching to make fun of these girls. It's not that hard to mock them and critique their outfits and makeup night after night, but nonetheless, deep down you know you have your calendar clear on Monday nights.
If nothing else, maybe you should watch to actually see if Nick finds love?
The burning question if Nick proposes to someone will remain unknown until spring, but that's what sucks us in. Those who watch know that its the same routine every year: there's a villain, there's the front runner, there's the dummies, and so on. But you can't help but wonder if Nick FINALLY finds the real deal. And here's to hopefully never having to watch his painfully cheesy intro to Bachelor in Paradise again next summer if he ends up alone.
