Why Suits is the Best Damn TV Show on Television

It's really a show about men looking REALLY good in suits. Seriously.

Why Suits is the Best Damn TV Show on Television

It’s Original

OK, maybe it’s because I actually want to be a lawyer, but it’s kind of like Catch Me If You Can in the lawyer world. Who thinks of hiring someone who never went to law school yet alone college. It’s also just a really good mix of comedy and drama. I swear, I’ve cried from both laughter and sadness and let me tell you, I never cry because I’m an emotionless robot. But I have to say, their story telling is great and I love how they bring back characters because it makes it feel like everything is coming full circle.

The Writing Is Sharp

Honestly, I think the television creators shoved the main actors in a house like Big Brother for a month because the cast’s chemistry is amazing. Seriously, choose any two characters and their rapport is amazing. It’s almost like I’m looking in the mirror with my best friend. Joking, but seriously, it’s like they’re all best friends and they don’t hate each other despite working 15 hour days together. And there is a plethora of movie quotes from Crimson Tide to Top Gun to quench your movie quote-along thirst. Try to keep up with them.

You can’t have a TV show without romantic relationships

Okay, so like yeah, Mike and Rachel, and they’re totally cute, but Harvey and Donna? Or even in if you’re in the minority and like Jessica and Harvey or Louis and someone else, like whatever couple you want to have happen, they’re all stinking cute. Suits also cast Gabriel Macht’s father as a guest star, and Patrick J Adam’s fiancé was also a guest star so I guess you could say they’re keeping it in the family.

Jessica Pearson vs. Olivia Pope

Honestly, I don’t know who would win that round. They’re both high powered women and they’re also fierce as hell. Her stare can freeze you cold in your stance and she is not even sorry about it (most of the time). In season 6, we FINALLY see her let loose and man is it about time. She’s always known as the cold-hearted, manipulative managing partner, but as she’s constantly stated, she didn’t get to where she is without pissing off some people. In the battle of Olivia Pope and Associates versus Pearson Hardman (or whatever name it is depending on the season) honestly, it will consistently be a toss-up between the two.

Donna. Freaking. Paulsen.

Okay, bear with me, I’m about to have a huge fan girl moment. Seriously, she is the epitome of a #womancrushwednesday. I mean, she’s hysterical, she knows when to put on a good show, she’s loyal, and she knows when she needs to be serious and when she can tease Louis (which is basically all the time). I can’t tell if her relationship with Harvey should turn romantic, but I’m up for anything at this point. It also helps that the real life actors of Harvey and Donna are real life best friends so their banter is that much better. And if that doesn’t convince you why she’s the best person ever, she’s Donna and she knows everything.

Suits is on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. and if you haven’t caught up or even watched it, do yourself a favor and seriously tune into this amazing show.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
