Life is full of temporary opportunities. With every opportunity, a lesson is to be taught and learned. Taking on every opportunity with a positive mindset has been the only way I've looked at things. I like to think that I have been given many opportunities to grow as a person and I know for a fact that I have learned a lot about myself and people I work with. One of my most recent and thriving discoveries has been my love for writing. I often struggle speaking out loud. Words come out in jumbled messes and I often get embarrassed easily. It's almost as if my brain and my mouth are not on the same wavelength. But when it comes to writing, I have always been able to put words together and actually make sense. Words flow for me. They bend and twist and adapt to the ideas I am constantly trying to express, giving me the confidence to always be able to express what I'm thinking if I have the opportunity to write things down.
The opportunity of writing is all around me. Writing for The Carroll News at John Carroll, being Editor in Chief for the Influencers of Ohio community for the Odyssey and most recently, my internship with CollegeFashionistas being a Style Guru. All of these things have provided me a chance to grow and thrive with my writing and my skills for the future.
I have also been given the opportunity to take photos for my internship with CollegeFashionistas as well. Photography has always been one of my favorite hobbies and being able to do it for my internship is pushing my skill boundaries further and being able to expand my knowledge even more.
But not all of these opportunities stay permanent. I know I will get busier and classes will get harder. That, ultimately, means that a few things will need to be let go in order to make sure I keep myself afloat.
All opportunities are temporary because we are meant to learn from them and continue our lives with a new head on our shoulders. We return to our main goal with more knowledge and skill before. That is why all opportunities are temporary.
