From Grey's Anatomy, to Scandal, to Private Practice, these hit TV shows have one beautiful thing in common: Shonda Rhimes, the brilliant, creative, and historic producer and writer behind these masterpieces. These shows will make you want to be part of the cast, and especially when it gets emotional. You'd better have a surplus of tissues ready to be in use. Oh, and make sure if you're wearing glasses, know they might get a little foggy—tears will come out, I promise!

Once you get your friends into these shows, and you text them when something good happens how happy you are, you will text them like, "ASKFJASKFDJAK WTF!" because you're pissed. Then you get to the stage when you say to yourself, "I'm not watching this show anymore." But, of course you know that can't possibly happen, and you keep watching and watching, until it's 4am, and you have work at 9—whoops?

1. Grey's Anatomy

If you haven't watched Grey's Anatomy, I suggest you get a Netflix account (if you don't already have one), and start this minute. This show will allow you to feel every emotion possible.

Let alone the emotions you feel while watching this show, you then become part of it. You fall in love with it. After watching six episodes straight, you keep going. Why? Because you can't stop. Because now you are in love with the characters.

I could keep going, but I don't want to spoil too much. Some of the best quotes ever stated have come from Grey's.

Now, if you want to know more, you have to watch the show.

But, thanks to Shonda Rhimes, Grey's has changed all of our lives forever.

2. Scandal

I mean, the title itself makes you want to look more into it, right?

The only thing I'm going to share about this show, without giving away too much, is:

Olivia Pope.

And I mean, the quotes, they're brilliant as well.

So, once you are done with Grey's Anatomy, Scandal is next.

3. Private Practice

This show is a spin-off of Grey's. I mean, what is better? Another medical show that has anything to do with Grey's? But what makes Private Practice so great?

One word: Addison.

She is a strong, brilliant, wealthy, and beautiful doctor.

This show makes you keep watching one episode after the other because each episode leaves you either screaming with joy or sobbing with despair.

And then the quotes...forget about it.

So after Scandal, you know what you're watching next.

Now, let me tell you what ties all these shows together: you become part of the shows, you become part of the happiness, love, sadness, depression, disappointment, and heartbreak. You feel the emotions that the characters feel. When a character dies, you cry. You cry and get mad at Shonda Rhimes for ruining the show. But did she ruin the show? I mean, somebody always has to die. It makes the show more interesting.

When your two favorite characters end up getting married, you thank Shonda Rhimes. You scream and tweet about how happy you are that the two are together, because nothing else makes you happier. When someone is pregnant, you think, Yes, Shonda Rhimes! I knew this would happen, I am so happy right now I can't control it.

But then, the inevitable happens, the show ends. Why Shonda, Why?

But then, there comes a point in you life where you miss the show so much, so you restart it. You begin the show again, the cast, the emotions, the characters, and the madness. You start all over at Season 1, Episode 1.

Why? Because you can't imagine your life without these shows.

So thank you, Shonda Rhimes, for making these TV series become something more than just TV series. You are brilliant.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
