Why Not Trump?

I mean really, why not?

Why Not Trump?
The Week

With the 2016 primaries in full swing and Republican candidates dropping left and right, it's important for all of us to fairly evaluate the rest of them.

What would the Republican party be without good old Donald Trump? In a weird turn of events, what seemed to be the biggest joke in U.S. history has turned into a legitimate campaign and a good shot at becoming the nomination. Without further ado, here are several reasons why you should support Donald Trump.

1. He's not a politician.

Now hold on a second, don't you have to be a politician to be in politics? Well no, not really. As is illustrated by the man pictured above. For all of history, politics have been dominated by politicians. Where has that gotten us? No one agrees on anything, it's party against party, and it's gridlock 24/7. Sure Trump doesn't know a damn thing about politics, but how bad could it really turn out?

2. A wall?!

Before you all lose your minds, hear me out. We put walls around our houses and fences around our yards, so what's wrong with a wall around the United States? Nothing, absolutely nothing is wrong with a big 'ole wall. We're just letting everyone know what belongs to us, and the best part is we won't even have to pay for it!

3. A man of the people.

Trump has been real with us all along. He's a man of the people. Sure, his father gave him a little help when it came to securing funds to get his start in the world, but who hasn't had a little help now and again? The media may say differently, but I'm confident that Donald knows what it's like to be a small fish in a big pond and he's here to help out the little guys.

4. His policies aren't flawed.

You may like a certain political candidate, but not their stance on issues that you hold dear. With Trump you don't have to worry about that. His stances aren't firm or concrete. He's looking out for everyone's best interests. He says Black Lives Matter, but he still believes we need a strong police presence. Sounds like a win-win to me.

5. He'll protect us.

Mr. Trump has made it very clear he won't take any bullshit from inferior countries. The world will fear the United States, and if it comes down to it, he won't hesitate to throw down with anyone dumb enough to challenge us. America needs a strong, steadfast president who is willing to break the rules to ensure we get the best, and as Americans we deserve the best.

6. He will make America great again.

If that line isn't enough to sell you on how much of an upstanding citizen this man is, then I don't know what is.

At the end of the day it comes down to this: America as it stands is a mess. We face so many problems and right now we just don't have the answers. As a young person in college I don't want to worry about the state that our country is in, and Donald Trump is the only candidate that will stand up for our country and solve all of our problems.

Don't put your trust in politicians, put your trust in trump!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
