This morning while doing my daily browse of Twitter, I came across this tweet. I cropped out the writer of the tweet to preserve the identity of the writer but kept the date, time, and number of retweets on there to show how recent this tweet was and that other men agree with this blasphemy. I often make generalizations that all guys suck to which I apologize to the VERY VERY small percentage of guys around my age that deserve the title of a "good guy." Yet on the daily I see tweets similar to this OR EVEN WORSE tweets that demean women and make it seem as if the male species is entitled to them and sex with them.
When I saw this tweet I was utterly flabbergasted at the fact that this male seemed to believe that just because his wife does not want to partake in sexual actions with him that HE IS ENTITLED to be able to cheat on her to be able to have sex. Now pause for a second and let that sink in. His wife should ALLOW him to have sex with another woman, or women, just because she does not want to. Sadly this is not the only instance I have seen something like this. A few weeks ago there was a tweet circulating that a young adult male posted that had Beyonce, Zendaya, Rihanna, and one other famous female celebrity on it saying "If the purge was real, who are you raping?" The male legitimately asked who other males would rape, AND THE OTHER MALES WERE RESPONDING. This is not an article on rape culture, which should also be discussed; however, this article was written to show the public just how disrespectful teenage/young adult males are to women everywhere. Women deserve to be treated well, not cheated on because they do not want to participate in fornication or other sexual acts.
With all this being said, it makes much more sense as to why the divorce rate has gotten so high. Marriage and relationships are not what males want anymore; they want no commitment and hookups/constant sexual relations. This is why most 21st century males will never be men and also why moms, you need to stop telling girls to date and get boyfriends becsuse this is what we have to work with.
