Why Living In Your Sorority House Is The Best Experience

This past year I had the opportunity to live in my sorority house. I can easily say that it was the best year of my life. I had the chance to live with 90 of my favorite people in the whole world. Yes, I realize how cliché that sounds, but you'll understand if you ever get the chance to live in. If you have already gotten to live in, I think you will be able to agree with me on this. Although there are some downsides to living in, such as some of your belongings randomly disappearing, not having much alone time, and eating at the same times every day, those are just minor blips to the amazing experience of living in.

So what is so great about living in a sorority house?

1.You always have someone around to help you, talk to you, cry with you, whatever you need, guaranteed someone will always be there to help

2. Getting ready for events is always fun, especially when the whole house is involved because each room was playing a different song as you walk down the halls.

3.It's easy to make plans because your best friends live right down the hall.

4.You have 80 other closets to borrow clothes from.

5.The location is close to campus making the walk bearable.

6.You don't have to buy your own groceries or clean your own dishes.

7.You will never be bored.

8.You always have someone to share a meal with.

9.You don't have to keep up with your monthly bills.

10. When you come downstairs in something other then an XL t-shirt, everyone will comment on how beautiful you look.

11. When it's 11 p.m. and you want Sonic, someone will always go with you.

I learned a lot about myself after living in. I learned the importance of patience and respect for other people's space. You will have your moments of frustration when someone's music is too loud, or someone is talking too loud (yes PC13 I am aware that was always me but it was never intentional), but those little things never outweigh the good parts. I will never forget my time living in a sorority house. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I hope everyone will be able to experience. To the girls moving in next semester: good luck and take in every minute and every memory. It will go by faster then you can blink.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
