For as long as I can remember i've always loved music. When I was young i'd sing books I was reading while my mom was drying my hair at night and I had a cd that would play for me to fall asleep to at night but instead of going to bed i'd sing myself to sleep. You never realize that music has such an impact until you've gone to a concert.
At seven years old my mom and dad took me to my first concert. It was Jesse McCartney and I think every girl at that time was pretty much in love with him. I was so excited I had never seen a singer perform live before. At first I was taken back at how many people were their and how loud it was. Screaming fans and loud music before the show really hurts a seven year olds ears, so my dad ripped part of his shirt and I put the pieces in my ears like ear plugs.
I never realized how many people pay to go see one person or band. I don't mind paying the money to see someone i've always wanted to see perform live. I've been going to concerts ever since that first one and I won't ever stop.
There is something so special about being in a room with thousands of people who are all their to see the same person. When the lights go off and the music starts something happens that just can't be explained. Everyone around you is just so happy and everything is right in the world. The best part is when the artist sings and then they stop and hold the microphone up to the audience and the room is filled with voices singing the same song together. It's the best feeling in the world and I'm never going to get tired of it.
I will continue to go to concerts for the rest of my life because they make me incredibly happy and when I have children I will take them, because I think everyone should experience at least one in their lifetime.
