We all wish we could find that special someone, and Rory Gilmore could not have been luckier in her relationships, giving us hope that the right one is out there.
Dean

The best first boyfriend ever. He's the loyal, small town guy everyone knows and loves, perfectly paralleling Rory's role in Star's Hollow. Like many others, I fell in love with him right away, after he picked up Rory's books in the very first episode. He's protective and moms love him, especially because he'll do handy work around the house and join in on mother-daughter double dates. He built Rory a car from scratch just because, and he wasn't afraid to be the first to say "I love you." And who else can say they gave Rory her first kiss in a grocery store, causing her to accidentally shop lift.
Jess
"He's the bad, yet good guy that every girl wants in their life." -Haley Zecker
The one your parents don't want you dating. He's the exact opposite of Dean. Jess is trouble, but hey, we all have that rebellious stage. Those eyes. That smolder. He's mysterious and interesting. He may not be the smartest guy in school, but he's not afraid of a literary challenge and matches Rory intellectually, always keeping her on her toes. He's down to be exclusive and once he knows what he wants, he'll go after it. His timing may not always be great, but he does tell Rory how he feels. Jess encouraged Rory to go for her dreams at the lowest point her life, and he changed for the better after being with her. He isn't on everyone's good side, but he'll try to be the man you deserve.

"He is really cute and is always willing to give Rory the best of the best." -Rachel Levine
The reason we all sulk in our dorm rooms. His charm and wit draw you in right away and are almost too much to handle. He challenged Rory to go beyond her comfort zone and was always there for her like a dependable boyfriend should be. He knew his path in life and went with his gut. We would all be lucky to have a rich, down to Earth guy who has coffee waiting for you after classes. Seriously, what guys are like this in college? He'll plan a romantic surprise on a rooftop, or make you jump off of one (harnessed, of course). He claimed to be a guy who would never be tied down, but when it comes to Rory, he's all in, and not afraid of commitment.
Although these three are amazing and will forever remain in our hearts, we have to keep in mind that it would be simply unfair to hold all guys to these high standards.
