Once upon a time, someone spread a dirty rumor that introverts and extroverts are too different to be friends. And while it’s true that there can be many barriers between introverts and extroverts becoming friends, when they do, extrovert/introvert friendships can be some of the best and most rewarding.
Introverts keep their friend group small, so being one of the few people they like feels great.
This also means that if you want to hang out, they’re probably free.
And when they want to spend a weekend just the two of you, be OK with that.
When you’re being too loud in public, they’ll tell you.
If you cancel plans, they’ll actually feel relieved rather than make you feel guilty.
Introverts spend much of their time observing, so they’re great at reading people…
Which also means that they can give you great advice when you need it.
And when they need people advice, you can give it to them.
You can help your introvert friend explore new things
And your introvert friend will help keep you grounded
If you're an extrovert, don't fall for the rumors that all introverts are shy and hate people, get to know them! And if you're an introvert, not all extroverts are loud and obnoxious. Life is all about balance, and finding someone that complements your extroversion or introversion is one of the best things ever.
