Why Every Brunette Needs A "Blondetourage"

Valentine's Day is great of course, but for those without a sweetheart to share it with, it really makes for good timing to be grateful for friends. With the holiday of love just behind us, let's appreciate our amazing friends around us especially the blondes!

I think I speak for most brunettes when I say my friend group would not be complete without my blondies! Brunettes are amazing, strong and adventurous souls, but let's face the facts; we wouldn't have as much fun without our blonde counterparts! It's those light haired ladies that show us brunettes how to have a good time. Without blondes, we couldn't experiment with different makeup choices or be envious of those who don't have dark eyebrows to constantly pluck! Blondes add the perfect contrast to a brunette's life. One of the many amazing things blondes do for brunettes is they make the easiest set ups with your boyfriend's single friends. Who can resist hearing, "Hey, have you met my blonde haired, blue eyed beauty of a best friend?" They are instantly game for a good double date. Plus, Belle can't possibly pick out her date outfit without Cinderella's approval! Blondes and brunettes are equally as princess-like, but with completely different flare. This makes for zero competition, creating the perfect friendship.

Just like chocolate chips and cookies, blondes and brunettes are a classic duo. Plus, the classic blonde jokes don't hurt for a little comic relief when necessary! The biggest thing blondes do for brunettes is create great music, of course. I mean without those platinum princesses there would be no good country songs to sing along to in the car because I swear every single one begins with long blonde locks!

On a more serious note, every brunette knows life just wouldn't be the same without her blonde besties. Blondes are the perfect contrast to brunettes. They're perfect individuals with a different perspective. Blondes can always give us brunettes a run for our money, a movie marathon buddy and a sidekick who is down to do just about anything. Blondes tend to calm down brunettes' otherwise anxious minds. Despite popular belief, blondes create more fun simply because of their ability to calm and relax those around them, not act crazier! Blondes are level-headed, free spirits with the ability to show brunettes the brighter side of life. Blondes are genuine and emotional friends who do not just walk beside you in the hard times of life, but hold your hand the whole way.

Blondes go about their days with a light heart and a steady mind with the ability to make anyone's day with just a smile. Every brunette needs a "blondetourage" not for their hair, but for their amazing, way too fun, and like no other friendship.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
