I always see articles about why people love dogs and why dogs are a mans best friend. But I never see articles about why cats are fricken awesome. What's with that?
So here I am, ready to tell you why cats are amazing.
For starters, they are pretty low maintenance. You don't need to walk them every single day, multiple times a day. You just put a litter box somewhere in the house and depending on how many cats you have, you can clean it once a week. (I have four cats so we clean our litter boxes, at least, two to three times a week). I know you're probably sitting there saying, "cleaning a litter box is gross!" I promise cleaning a litter box is not as gross as picking up warm dog shit.
Secondly, they clean themselves. What more could you ask for? You don't need to pay to have them cleaned like most dogs. Only if you really want to have them professionally cleaned, you don't need to spend the money. They are self-sufficient so all you have to do is love them.
Everyone always thinks cats are evil beings. Honestly, they're not that bad. Just don't piss them off. They just want to be loved all the time (just like dogs). Cats will cuddle with you and they even know when you're sad so they'll come and nuzzle themselves into your neck and sit there until you're not sad anymore.
They eat when we do. So you have to give them breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although, you're not supposed to give them actual lunch, just like a lil snack. But it's not hard to feed them when you're already in the kitchen feeding yourself. They let you know when they're hungry and you just feed them and they take care of the rest.
Lastly, cats are just so damn adorable. They do cute things to get your attention and they're pretty dumb which makes them cute. I find my cats frequently on our hardwood kitchen floors, sleeping. Like wut? Why the kitchen floor and not the nice cat bad in the living room? I've also found one of my cats sleeping in a box. They're dumb and cute so what more could you ask for?
