Ah, February, the month of love, where many celebrate their relationships or lack thereof for many. For those of us who are single this time of year, we tend to cry and eat copious amounts of chocolates on Valentine's Day because we're single and don't have a date or a significant other to celebrate with. Valentine's Day is a day of love, and although that typically means a bouquet of roses and a dinner reservation for those in a relationship, for those who are single it means a day to love and celebrate yourself and your friendships. Honestly, it is so much better to be single on Valentines Day and here's why.

Being single on Valentine's Day means that you don't have to stress about making sure you are in a relationship or finding the perfect Tinder match to go on a date with before the day comes. Instead, you can plan a day to love yourself and have a "me night". A glass of wine, pizza, a facemask and your current favorite Netflix series, and you have the recipe for the perfect celebration of loving yourself.

Being single on Valentine's Day means that you don't have to worry about getting dumped the night before or on the day of, because what could be worse than planning out every detail and getting told over text that the relationship is over.

Being single on Valentine's Day means that you don't have to worry about spending money on a giant teddy bear and 2 dozen roses and dinner for someone who may not be the one you end up marrying.

Being single on Valentine's Day means that you don't have to worry about getting dressed up and can spend it in your pj's. Nor do you have to worry about your favorite tight dress ripping because you ate too many chocolates. You can eat as many chocolates as you want without having to worry about a food baby in the dress that shows all your curves.

Being single on Valentine's Day means that you can have a girl's night and celebrate being single with your best friends, drama and testosterone free.

Being single means on Valentine's Day means that there is no pressure to get reservations to the best restaurant in town, instead, you can pick up a pizza and eat it while enjoying a nice hot candle lit bubble bath with your favorite bath bomb.

Being single on Valentine's Day means you can finally treat yourself to the "me day" that you deserve. Go get your toes done and eat as many chocolates as you want, you deserve it.

In the end, being single on Valentines Day is the best because you can celebrate where you are at right now. Being single means that you aren't in a toxic relationship, with beautiful possibilities in the future because you are taking the time to now to find yourself. You must love yourself and learn to celebrate you before you can let someone else in.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
