If you're a female, you probably think, "I hate being a female" at least once a day, I know I do. I can always count on the small things to make me dislike being a woman. Here are just a few reasons on why it sucks being a female sometimes.

1. Periods

Sorry boys, it's a REAL thing. Periods suck, that's pretty much the end of the story. I have heard plenty of guys say that cramps can't be that bad, females are over-exaggerating their time of the month, etc. When you feel like you're being stabbed 1,001 times in the same general area, it's not pleasant. Also, cravings are a huge portion of periods. You want to eat your weight in food, yet you're broke at the same time. You also have to worry about bleeding through, or people knowing that you're on your period, and it's like a constant state of panic. It freaking sucks.

2. Wearing A Bra/Boobs

When guys wake up, all they have to worry about is taking a quick five minute shower, and throwing on a shirt and some pants. On the other hand, females have to worry about dressing somewhat decent if they truly care about their appearance, and putting on a bra. I swear, bras were made by Satan himself. It's not socially acceptable to go out in public without wearing a bra, otherwise I would do that 24/7. Also, don't get me wrong, I love my girls, but they cause major back problems.

3. Makeup

I don't have the time or effort to do my makeup full out like some girls do, but I still do wear some. Makeup is a necessity for a girl to have, and trust me boys, it ain't cheap. A tube of mascara can cost anywhere from $8 to $30. Then retail stores throw the good kinds of makeup towards you, like MAC, where a tube of matte lipstick is $17, (but so worth it). If I didn't wear makeup at all, I am pretty sure I could have saved myself a couple hundred of dollars here and there. Makeup is so damn expensive now a days, when I just want to look decent for myself.

4. Looking Decent

Now, I'm at the point in my life where I could care less about what I look like, but some females still do. We have to worry about finding cute clothes, that fit us right in all the right places. Loose clothing like sweatpants and sweatshirts make us look bigger, (I still wear them because I choose comfort over looks), but some girls truly worry about looking "bad".

5. Society's Expectations

Not saying that men don't have expectations to fit in also, but women's expectations are more out there. Society plasters pictures of size two models on covers of magazines and that's society's expectation to be beautiful. Now a days, being a size ten or even a size eight is considered "plus-size". People wonder why some females are super self-conscious and this is exactly why. We all see these images of what "beautiful" women are supposed to look like, and it's clearly not what we look like, and then we put ourselves down for it. Ladies, always remember, whether you're a size two or a size sixteen, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

And these are just a few of the reasons why being a female truly sucks sometimes.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
