Why Am I Still Voting for Trump?

A Crisis of Confidence for a Millennial

Why Am I Still Voting for Trump?

I am almost certain that should anyone be asked who Donald Trump is... there won't be one person in the United States who is clueless. Over the past few weeks much has been released about the Republican Nominee and frankly, I think that most of it needs to be discussed in order to clear the air... or at the very least my conscience.

First, you need to know about me... My name is William Carter and I am a Freshman at Mercer University. I have been heavily involved in the political world over the recent years the culmination of which allowed me to attend the Republican National Convention as a Delegate for the State of Georgia. I was the youngest delegate in State History to attend the RNC and broke many records. Now, I am a part of the First Congressional District Republican Party as well as my local County Party... I plan to in the near future get more involved and possibly run for a leadership office within the party.

Now then lets talk about the elephant in the room. Yes, I am voting for Donald Trump, not because I am a Republican but because I feel he is the best we have and on the national scale his is the closest person to my platform that could possible in the office of the Presidency. Gary Johnson will not win one state and neither will Evan McMullin.... I'm sorry to all of you who think otherwise but it's not going to happen. You can be angry at me for stating this but these are the cold hard facts.

How can I support such a man? One reason... Hillary Clinton. I would rather have a bombastic bumbling baboon as President than a liar and a crook. She is the culmination of years of Political Manipulation and I believe that she is the straw that can break the backs of American Prestige. Why is this? Look at her track record. Benghazi…. the biggest cover up since the Watergate Scandal that occurred in the 1970’s she ignored over 300 requests for extra security at the consulate in Libya and her inaction directly resulted in the Deaths of an American Ambassador and several military personal… She didn’t answer the phone at 3 AM that night. Then the next day she after telling her daughter through email that “it was a clear terrorist attack” (this is known due to the House Special Committee on the Benghazi Terror Attacks Research and Report) she decided to lie directly to the American People by saying it was due to a video that was antisemitic.

But wait, there's more.... She played favorites in the State Department for individuals who gave massive amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation, she perjured herself before Congress, she manipulated an FBI Investigation, she deleted over 30,000 emails from her private server after receiving a subpoena from the House of Representatives, she received massive payments for giving speeches, she received massive payments for political decisions from foreign governments and much... much... more. Don't believe me, go to Wikileaks it's all right there.

I will support Donald Trump and will fight tooth and nail to ensure that he gets the White House... I will not sit idly by while having someone as corrupt as Hillary Clinton take the White House. If there is one thing that I could ask of the millennials... quit getting your news from Facebook and do research on your own time. For once in your life one up with your own beliefs rather than having someone else make them for you. I think that if you can at least do that then maybe you'll find out that you and I aren't so different after all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
