Bernie Sanders; I'm not going to lie, the guy does an outstanding job at targeting a young audience. Here's the problem: his socialistic views are not beneficial to this country in the long run, and young Americans admire his campaign because they're all subjected to debt binding tuition loans and low minimum wage rates. So for those who "feel the Bern..."
You really want to "stick it to the man."
We completely understand that your young college educated and liberal views encourage change, but a whole new breed of democrats are emerging from Bernie's campaign. Republican frontrunner and real estate mogul, Donald Trump, has a reputation for his occult like supporters with claims such as that "he could should somebody and not lose voters." The same exact case appears on the democratic side with Bernie as well. You could almost point out a Bernie supporter directly when you meet them (regardless of any political discussion taking place); you just know seem to know. Trump has now been placing blame on Sanders supporters for his recent protests at rallies -- needless to say, this has turned into an perfectly divided presidential campaign. Both supporting sides demonstrate a complete opposition of one another while they maintain 100 percent loyalty to their candidate regardless of action or negative media exposure.
Why do you believe that college should be free?
If college were free, everybody would go! Oh yeah, and you know that debt that you had to acquire to go to school... you're going to have to pay for future students while you're at it! Isn't that just fun? My question is, why would you want to pay your own debt off, and then pay for younger generations education when you didn't have the same luxury? With adopting this new political mentality young American generations are failing to practice traditional methods towards success and the American dream -- that of which imply you to study of your ass off, work hard, get a high paying salary, and care for your own family's educational expenses. After all, other people make it possible. Donald Trump has suggested that Bernie's tax plan will be within the 90 percent range while the socialist denies such allegations. Either way, somebody is going to have to be paying for this. Forbes indicates that Bernie's rate is likely to be over 50 percent.
Why are you OK with socialism?
Lawrence Wittner, CNN, describes Bernie's socialism to be appealing within America because of the rapidly growing wealth gap. With this knowledge, Bernie has a knack for picking at the one-percenters; any time he feels he needs to address an economic issue he seems to always point the fingers back at the executives and business magnates. The American dream is still alive, but it's up to you to chase it. Imagine that you work harder than any other American your whole life and you finally have a huge salary to show for it -- then this guy comes along and deteriorates it with his socialistic system. Opportunity Lives states that young Americans will be completely submerged in debt if Sanders would ever hold the position at the White House. Do you honestly believe that if everybody is treated equal, people are going to give the same amount of effort? As it may seem, the money hungry mentality within capitalism stimulates opportunity and growth. The reason that America was able to advance at an unimaginable rate is because capitalism creates a drive for innovation and improvement. The direct competition of "being better than the next guy"; the motive that is driven by a high salary is what creates jobs, new ideas, and novelty within consumerism and society as a whole.
Have you ever had to do a group project?

The Economist describes Bernie's promise to free education, healthcare, and an increased minimum wage -- however, these things come at a price. In order for equality to work, all must be under one cooperative system, and be expected to demonstrate the same level of performance. Juxtapose this concept to a group project. To my fellow college students out there, I shouldn't even have to elaborate on this issue. One or two people do most of the work; some people slack off -- but all of them involved get the same reward. This is simply not an efficient way to accomplish tasks -- let alone structure a county's political system around.
Sanders supporters, we understand how you feel about America as it is right now. Unfortunately, the rest of us believe that your political philosophy is one that should not be religiously promoted throughout this prosperous nation. It is detrimental to the American Dream; do your part to keep it alive. Work hard and study harder, so you wont have to worry about that college debt in the long run.
