I adopted my puppy about a month ago. I went to North Shore Animal League, with my brother and cousin in tow. I didn't know if I would actually find a puppy to take home that day, but I was very hopeful. We were there for about 15 minutes when I found the little puppy I needed to take home. He was very small, and he was from the St.Thomas. The second I took him home I was already in love with everything about him.

Adopting Milo that day was the best decision that I have ever made. I was always looking for love and now I have my four legged fur baby to give and get love from. I don't have to hide behind any walls with him, I know he can put a smile on my face the second I walk through the doors. Every day is a new day and brings challenges and excitement. He's silly, sweet, loving, funny and energetic. He keeps me on my toes and that is what I love about him.

Raising him is not an easy thing, he's like a baby so he requires constant attention. With the help of my family, it has been very easy. We teach him new things every day and I already can tell he's a very smart puppy. I sacrificed a lot to get him and it will always be one of the best decisions my 21-year-old self has made. I found love in a four legged baby, and I can't wait to see what's ahead for me and him. I know the rest of our journey has a long way to go but I can't wait to see where it goes.

Thank you North Shore Animal League for helping me find the little guy that somehow made the sunshine on a cloudy day. He's truly a great part of my journey and I love giving so much love to my little munchkin.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
