For those of you who are avid snackers like myself, you are aced with many issues and discrimination when it comes to your snack habits. Luckily, there are some tricks to help you out! If you are anything like me, the snack epidemic is truly ruining your summer body plans and with only 4 weeks of class left, we gotta get going.
Don't: Snack late at night
I know its hard to resist your favorite stu-sushi when you are up late slaving away on your homework in the library. Snacking is fine but, not when its past midnight. Think of yourself in Cinderella, when the clock strikes midnight you turn into a pumpkin. But, in all seriousness, calories that you eat later at night go straight to your ass, so lets try and stay away for bikini sake (or should I say everyone else around you when you are wearing your bikini).
Do: Bring a snack to class
The final weeks of the quarter are very hectic and stressful for everyone involved. The best way to keep yourself well and healthy is to eat regularly and not skip meals. But, we all know you are gonna skip breakfast, and possibly lunch and hey while you’re at it might as well just not eat dinner too. NO! This is not a good plan so if you’re gonna miss breakfast (or lunch or dinner) try to bring small snack with you for class. I mean you have to be sitting there anyways, so might as well be doing something. Snacks can’t make up for meals but it helps your brain to get at least a little food in you.
Don't: Snack loudly
Nobody like a loud eater, especially this time of year. As a just said, everyone is stressed which means their anxious which means they are defiantly more likely to get angry at you about small insignificant things. So all I can say is don't be a loud snacker and don't snack in densely populated places( like the library on finals week). Snacking in the library is only tolerable on the first floor. P.S. please close your mouth, everyone on campus thanks you.
Don't: Snack for any other reason than being hungry
I know its so tempting to binge snack while watching Netflix or doing homework. Your hand just somehow always happens to find its way into that bag of chips or cookies but stop! Eating because your bored or upset will just lead to unnecessary weight gain, when you're bored just drink some water or maybe go do something not boring so you wont be tempted to eat anything. If you're upset, well stop being upset and stop eating.
